When my family returned to the Midwest, Mendota Heights was a homecoming for my wife, Alicia. She grew up in this town, and our children will eventually graduate from Henry Sibley High School just as she did 20 years ago. We chose to make our home in Mendota Heights not only because of our deep roots in this community, but also because of its character. It's quiet and safe, family-oriented and friendly, full of green spaces and great schools, and it's only minutes from exceptional museums and top colleges and universities.
I've held varied positions that have honed an expertise in Accounting and Finance that will serve Mendota Heights well on the city council, where such skills are not currently represented. They have also helped me develop a thoughtful, inclusive and respectful leadership style. Some of these unique career experiences include:
I have also played ultimate frisbee for the past 20 years on teams with national and international reputations, and coached the sport at the junior high and high school levels. Further, I served as the treasurer and director of the Ann Arbor Ultimate League for many years, and have captained numerous league and club teams.
My wife, Alicia, specializes in trauma research at Children's Minnesota. We have two children, Linus (age 4) and Matilda (age 1). They currently attend Visitation Child Care, and Linus will begin kindergarten at Mendota Elementary next year. We are grateful to be surrounded by grandparents and other relatives, many of whom have lived in Mendota Heights for decades.
Because Mendota Heights is our home, I have a passion to give back to this great city.
